Australia & Japan in Space

The Australian Government has just announced Australia’s new Space Agency will be located in South Australia, a state with an historical link to the country’s early space exploration. After the three-and-a-half year ‘Hayabusa2 Mission,’ Japan’s space agency successfully landed two rovers on an asteroid travelling in space this year. Who are the major players in Japan’s space industry, and what opportunities exist for collaboration between Australian and Japanese companies as Australia forges into space? Our next JBA will explore all this.
