This year’s Joint Business Conference in Sydney will feature one plenary session on energy in the bilateral context and specifically focus on electricity. This topic is being extensively publicly debated in both countries – and to some extent a number of the areas of concern have parallels in both Australia and Japan.
Felix Karmel, a young Australian, has recently visited Japan and written a paper on Australian electricity deregulation. He was assisted by a grant from the Australia-Japan Foundation.
