AJBCC Conference 14-16 October: Registration Required!

If you are a member of the AJBCC, then you still need to register online registration for the 56th annual Joint Business Conference, which will be held in Sydney. You can register online here . The overall conference theme is Taking the Long View. The conference program can be downloaded here. The conference will be held on Sunday 14 October to Tuesday 16 October 2018. Over 400 AJBCC and JABCC members will attend.

The conference program consists of:

  • a one and a half day plenary session conference
  • an AJBCC Future Leaders roundtable discussion
  • Two optional site tour visits
  • a day tour for partners of attendees
  • a welcome reception and official conference dinner.

The Conference Sessions

The keynote for the conference will be given by Grant King, President of the Business Council of Australia.

Conference sessions will look at:

  • Energy – Electricity – Sustainability And Balancing Long Term Investment Risk Against New Technologies
  • Finance – Long Term Finance And Infrastructure
  • Technology – Early Seeds And Long Term Development
  • Smart Cities – Long Term Planning
  • Future Leaders Session
  • Collaboration Panel – Developing Long Term Partnerships

Future Leaders Roundtable
The very active AJBCC Future Leaders cohort will meet with our Tokyo based counterpart, the JABCC Future Leaders, to hold the annual roundtable. (Only attended by Future Leaders members). This is a half day meeting.

Site Tours
At the conclusion of the conference on Tuesday 16 October afternoon, attendees have a choice of one of two optional site tours. These tours last around 2-3 hours. One tour will be the Darling Harbour and Barangaroo precinct redevelopment hosted by AJBCC member Lendlease and the other will be the NSW Government’s Sydney Hub which is aimed at the the incubator, accelerator and startup community along with major companies involved in the innovation space.

Partner Tour
Whilst the conference proceeds on Monday 15 October, partners can attend a day tour which will take in various iconic and historical parts of Sydney including a culinary experience.

Welcome Reception and Official Conference Dinner
There is ample time for networking opportunities with an informal welcome reception on Sunday 14 October and the official conference dinner on Monday 15 October.
