26 Apr AJBCC Annual Conference: Sydney 14-16 October 2018
The 56th annual Joint Business Conference between the AJBCC and its Japan based counterpart, the JABCC, will be held on Sunday-Tuesday 14-16 October 2018 in Sydney, the first time that it has been held there since 2012.
AJBCC Members will be able to register online for the conference from early May.
The overall theme for the meeting is Taking the Long View. The Australia-Japan relationship over the last 60 years has built upon strong relations, strategic alliances and partnerships. What does the future hold? How can businesses in both countries leverage off this remarkable story and shared experiences?
With the explosion of the internet age and instant dissemination of information and the short business reporting cycles, the clamour is for instant results. “Short termism” however is not a Japanese characteristic. So what can be learnt from other perspectives such as that of the long view or sustainable development?
Over 400 senior Australian and Japanese executives are expected to attend the meeting. At the same time as the meeting, the AJBCC and JABCC Future Leaders group will convene their Future Leaders Roundtable as well as participate directly in one of the plenary sessions of the conference.
