Japan Related Business: Activity a Plenty!

Although the month before last saw consummation of the previously announced acquisition by Nippon Life of MLC, there has been a plethora of recent announcements of Australian company involvement with Japanese partners or Japanese acquisition of Australian companies. Whilst the mega deals of Japan Post’s acquisition of Toll and Nippon Life’s MLC play are well known, there a number of smaller deals which are seeing the engagement by Japanese investors spread out into sectors not previously touched. Nomura Research Institute’s acquisition of Australian IT business solutions provider, ASG is just one example.
