Healthcare – Mission Visits Japan

Over half of Australia’s Nobel prize winners are from the field of medicine whilst about half of Japan’s Nobel prize winners, not surprisingly, are from the field of physics. Does this complementarity suggest there is an underutilised market opportunity? Based on the wide field of medicine and healthcare, the Victorian Government organised a mission to visit Japan last month, leveraging off its existing Osaka-Melbourne sister city relationship. At the same time, Victorian Government officials met with the Japanese Government to understand the policy landscape.
