10 Feb Noritz acquires Dux – further sector investment in Australia

Headquartered in Kobe, Japan’s Noritz, a major hot water heater manufacturer has acquired the GWA owned Dux Manufacturing Limited, a popular Australian brand of hot water heating system. According to Noritz, Dux has an annual turnover of around A$70m. Other Japanese companies have invested in the Australian market for water heating. Rheem Australia was acquired by the Nagoya based Paloma Co Ltd in 2001. Paloma is a major manufacturer of water and room heaters and cooking appliances.
