Convenience: Tokyo service cuts travel time

Tokyo bound business travellers will now have the option of flying to Haneda rather than Narita, substantially cutting travel times from the airport to the CBD. Qantas will implement flights from Sydney to Haneda and from August 2015 expand Tokyo route services by the introduction of direct Brisbane-Narita services. The Haneda flights will mean a travel time from the airport of only 20-30 minutes to downtown Tokyo.

For the 9 months ended September 2014, there were 240,000 Japanese arrivals into Australia. In the same period, 160,000 Australians travelled to Japan. Japanese tourist numbers into Australia are ranked the 6th largest after: New Zealand, China, UK, USA and Singapore.
